New Rising Star Community Support Corporation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Birmingham, Alabama since 2005.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to enrich the quality of life in the East Lake Community. With loving service we provide education, affordable home ownership, workforce development and free transportation for seniors. Our aim is to develop a community of choice. 

Our initiatives are focused on enriching the lives of the citizens in our target areas. 
In order to fulfill our mission, we have created a number of programs and services to revitalize and meet the needs of our community. 

These programs include: 
An educational enrichment program that provides homework assistance, enrichment activities in reading and math strategies, physical activity and nutrition for healthy bodies and minds; 

Affordable housing programs to build new homes, obtain & rehab vacant properties; provide information and resources to improve property for exsisting homeowners; and 

A transportation program to assist senior citizens with non-emergency medical transportation, banking and shopping and other recreational activities.
